Interactive live painting performance with music and dance.

In our dynamic society with its many different relationships and diverse external influences, we want to be an independent individual. With almost aggressive friendliness we try to stay with ourselves again and again. A bright shadow that follows us, a gentle speed that overruns us, shadows that are not our own, but moving impressions of the stories of others. Often it seems to be these oxymora that we move in. To orientate oneself in it and to keep thinking about oneself and staying with oneself is what Oxymoron of Identification tells us. (duration 53 min)

Transition

Livepainting performance with dance and cello.

Figures are created, superimposed, destroyed and found anew.
Transition is an interactive performance in which music, dance and painting work together and react to each other. The result is a transformation of the individual shadows from the dancer’s movements, which in painting grows into a new, nested group formation lying on top of each other. (Duration 25 min)

The time raze cycle

Livepainting performance with dance and cello.

The last exhibition in Kunsthalle M3 of Atelierhaus Mengerzeile takes places in May 2017, before the building of Kunsthalle M3 gets disrupted. This beautiful space was a home for arts and artists for years, but has to be given up for modernization now. The artists, Ilona Ottenbreit and her colleaque Eva Noack, fought 4 years to keep up the Atelierhaus so the artists could maintain their working spaces. On this theme, the displacement of space for art, which is currently highly topical in Berlin, the performance is born “the time raze cycle”. (Dauer 28 min)

„The time raze cycle“ was produced to happen the day before Kunsthalle M3 was dismantled.

A performance that makes us think about our human and cultural existence. It spans an arc from the beginning of visible traces of our culture to the present day. A dancer encounters his shadow, the artist transforms the fleeting images into tangible, wall-filling painting in which a musician links the levels of perception with interactive sounds. The scenery is reminiscent of primeval cave paintings, in which the shadows represented another reality for the people

In 2011, the first Sculpture Dance Performance Dimensions will be created. The idea originates from the sculptures of the painter and sculptor Ilona Ottenbreit. She connects them with dance. The result is a performance that seeks to present the various dimensions of artistic creation and human perception in a complex way. A world beyond language.
